Founded in 1988, the Ojai Film Society (OFS) presents quality independent, foreign, documentary, critically acclaimed, and classic films to the Ojai Valley. We proudly reach over 3,000 attendees annually through our FREE Summer Series at Libbey Bowl, making us one of the largest free event series in the Ojai Valley. We are a volunteer-run organization made up of a mix of filmmakers and film lovers. In addition to our Board of Directors, we have over 35 volunteers across our Screening Committee, and events.
Our audience is a true cross-section of the people who live in this community, with attendees ranging in age from infants to 96+ years of age. We welcome everyone — no matter one's age, race, gender, economic background, political views, or physical capabilities — outdoors, in community, for FREE.
